To Niche or Not?

It’s coming up to 2 years since I went freelance supporting businesses with various elements of their digital marketing. Time has really flown but I’ll talk about that another time…

One thing I saw a lot when starting out was focusing on a niche, how this will get you more clients, it’s the only way to do it etc etc… well, I still don’t have my niche and while a few of my clients have links to my experience in interiors, I’ve never closed myself off to other industries and I’m not sure I will.

Why? I love to learn, I love the variety and I love making a difference to my clients.

While it’s great to plan and think ahead, I think if I'd focused on a niche when I first started I’d have closed myself off to interesting conversations and opportunities, and that’s something I never want to do.
